Barista Exchange Pop-Up w/ Our Cousins

Cxffeeblack presents

the Barista Exchange Family Reunion Tour

Calling all our cxffee cousins! It’s time to gather and celebrate our shared roots.

Phase 2 of the Barista Exchange Program is bringing coffee farmers, roasters, and cafe owners from across the African diaspora to the US for a cultural and coffee educational exchange. Join us in Memphis, Nashville, Atlanta, and Raleigh for brew ups, collaborative coffee conversations, and cultural exchange. Meet our Barista Exchange Fellows from Colombia, Rwanda, Ethiopia, and Uganda and learn about their coffee journeys and how they honor their roots.

Meet the visiting Barista Exchange participants from Uganda, Rwanda, Ethiopia, and Colombia. You’ll have the opportunity to taste diverse blends, learn about global coffee cultures, and engage in conversations about the journey of coffee from seed to cup.

Laying Our Tracks

This show features the work(s) of twelve local artists and will go on for the next 60 days. If you appreciate art, are an artist yourself, this is a great way to get inspired and even connect with others in the industry.

The artists from this show come from different backgrounds and age groups. Many of which have committed to doing their artwork full-time and so we ask that you come out and support them.

This is a great way to add to your personal collection. But if you are a first time buyer will be a great way to get started as well. We hope to see you soon.

Rush Hour

Rush Hour is Atlanta's very first fine art and music festival created specifically to highlight asian and black creatives in the Atlanta area. This two-day event will feature a fine art show titled "You Can Open Up Now," which features 26 visual artists, as well as 12 musical performances and DJ's all day long.

This festival serves to address the social climate of not only the black and asian community, but of the colored American community as a whole, as the art show and musical performances are curated in a fashion to speak to topics such as mental health, cultural pride and identity, family dynamics, and the experience of the colored person in America. During this two-day event, I hope that every attending person has the opportunity to engage in these ideas on a personal level, while also having the time of their life through music, fine art, and dancing.

So come out on Friday May 12th starting at 5:00PM and Saturday May 13th starting at 1:00PM to enjoy the best art and music Atlanta has to offer. We will see you at Rush Hour!

Andrew Blooms
