Do you not know that in a race all the runners run,
but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize.
— Paul's Letter

I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift…

on your mark !

our smallest elixir yet strongest medicine: a deconstructed macchiato (doppio, marked with foam) composed of yemen coffee w/ notes of: Raspberry, Citrus Acidity, Cacao, and Spice.

meet our defending champion, hare.

This elixir is composed of lemongrass & the inflorescence of the Humulus lupulus plant aka hops; Well known for it’s contribution of floral, citrus, and herbal aromas & flavor in beer. we’ve sourced & experimented with this beautiful flower, (with the help of our neighbors at outrun) & brewed it as a benefits-rich, bitter herbal tea.

Hares are classified in the same family as rabbits. They are swift animals and can run up to (50 mph) over short distances + up to (35 mph) over long distances.

this particular hare was extraordinarily fast & confident of winning; he has competed at the highest level & dosent waste any energy against his component… this race is a waiting game at the moment.

confident of winning, the hare takes a nap midway through the race.

The haRE was much amused at the idea of running a race with this slow competitor. he ran far ahead & was soon far out of sight. and to make the other candidate feel very deeply how ridiculous it was for him to try a race with a Hare, he lay down beside the course to take a nap until the other should catch up.

and this is where the plot thickens. in our next elixir we used sweet corn (rich in melatonin—promotes sleep). the Hare's foolish over-confidence ruined his good natural abilities & though faster there was a turn of events thta will amaze you!

I returned, and saw under the sun,the race is not to the swift...

meet tortoise

while the hare napped, tortoise his competitor moved slowly but steadily, and, after a time with sobriety, zeal and perseverance he passed the place where the hare was napping. this is where the moment of prayed opportunities occur. no matter how slow the process may be, we’ll never surrender, though we fall, we get back up & never give up! movement is how we will reach the possibilities satisfactorily & witness just how amazing the power of time & chance is.

... but time and chance happen to them all.
